What is FIRST Robotics?

FIRST is a not-for-profit public charity that designs accessible, innovative programs that allow K-12 students to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills. 
FRC 2789: Team TEXplosion participates in a Robotics Competition, which allows high school students to cooperate with experienced mentors to build a robot. It is a worldwide competition that not only judges robot performance, but teams' business and marketing skills, community outreach, and website design.
